Loot Crate - June 2015 Cyber - Review

Is it really Monday already?!

I hope all the Gamer Girls out there had a great weekend, mine was pretty jam pack! On Saturday Mr GGWC and I went out to our local figures and collectibles show and picked up my new DC Bombshells Statue, then we went to a far away comic book store we very rarely visit to check things out and pick up a few graphic novels to read. On Sunday we made a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up some things to fix a leaky toilet in the house and to replace some bulbs in the kitchen.  On a whim we also upgraded the lighting in our office to LEDs with a dimmer switch!  Mr GGWC rewired the wall switch, and what a difference it makes in there, I'm so happy with the change it made!

So anyway, on to today, I have the June Loot Crate to share with you all!

This is my first month as a regular subscriber, so I was really excited to get this one in the mail.

Just in case you haven't heard about it, Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box for geeks and gamers. Each month they include everything from collectibles, to stickers, and sometimes there’s even a t-shirt.

Dare to Dream - Ariel Eyeshadow Quad "Sea Darling" and "Sea Witch"Sea Review

Good Afternoon Gamer Girls!

Today I something new for this blog, and new for me, a make-up review!

I've wanted to do make-up reviews in addition to my normal nail polish reviews since I started the blog a couple years ago, and I figured when I came back it would be a great time to try it out.

Today I have two pieces from the Dare to Dream collection that is currently at Walgreens.  As I've mentioned before I am a bit of a Diz Geek, so I am always drawn in by these make-up collections featuring the girls.

I really like this new collection because it features not 1 Disney Princess but 3!  Pocahontas, Mulan, and Ariel are all featured with their own products in this collection.  I also really am liking this collection because it really has a little something for all make-up lovers.  There are creme highlighters, Lip Glosses, Eye Shadows, Face Pallets, Nail Polish, full Beauty Books, and Make-Up Bags!
Unfortunately, there are no brandings on any of the make-up items aside from mentioning that they are distrubted by Walgreens.  After a little googling I found that several other bloggers are saying that these are produced by Markwins, who is the owner of Wet n Wild.

Dare to Dream Eyeshadow Quads in "Sea Darling" and "Sea Witch"
Today I am going to focus on the two Eyeshadow Quads in Ariel's collection named Sea Darling and Sea Witch.
These retail for $3 a piece at Walgreens and on
Can a $3 pallet be all that great?

FanMail - June 2015 Legends & Lore - Review

Happy Wednesday Gamer Girls!  Long time no blog, I know I know!  I actually finally completed my Bachelors of Arts this past month, so finally my time is freed up a little bit again.  I've taken a few weeks off from writing anything, after having done so much with school.  The past year was pretty creatively draining, and I'm looking forward to finally getting back to things I want to do for fun!

I have something really special today and I'm super excited to share it with you all today!  This is a brand new subscription box called FanMail

FanMail is a monthly subscription box designed for lady geeks (by lady geeks!), which means that each box is filled with amazing products from the fandoms you love!

This is the first shipment for FanMail so let’s get right to it!

Loot Crate - June 2015 Mystery Crate Review!

Over on My Subscription Addiction I recently read that there would be a special Mystery Crate put together for the month of June by Loot Crate!  For $20 you would get a box described as “Inside each Mystery Crate are a minimum of seven items our curators hand-selected from the Loot Crate warehouse of awesomeness.  All crates have a guaranteed retail value of over $40!  Yours for only $20!  (single crate U.S. orders only)”

Well that sounds pretty awesome! And, even though I've plenty of friends that subscribe to Loot Crate, I've never pulled the trigger myself before.  This seemed like a great time to try it out!

So how'd it go...?  Click the read more button to find out!

Golden Oldie Thursday; Week Five! - Green

Happy Friday Gamer Girls!

I'm still feeling pretty under the weather, so I haven't been able to get much done today *edited to add: This whole weekend.  I didn't realize this post never went live on Friday whoops!  SO now that it's Monday, I'm still honestly feeling pretty awful... I hate getting sick!*  I've basically been sitting miserably in front of my computer in warm PJ's messing around with The Elder Scrolls Online beta test.  (Which is super fabulous let me just tell you.  The NDA is still active, so I can't actually *talk* about it yet, but I will say I will happily be throwing my money at it in April.)

Today I'm sharing with you all yesterday's last week's installment of my Golden Oldie's Thursday post, featuring Green as the theme this week!

Tri-Polish Challenge Week #5 - Brown, Pink, and Grey

Evening Gamer Girls!

Yuck, so does anyone else ever get sick right after a whole lot of stress happens?  I sure do, and boy did I get hit hard last night with something!  I've been trying to recover today, but I'm only slightly better this evening so far.

Posts must go on to the best of my ability though!

Today is the first Tri-Polish Challenge post for February, so that means a new color group!  I'm pretty excited about this trio of colors, because it's actually one of my personal favorite mixtures, Brown, Pink and Grey.

So let's get to it, click the read more button to get going!

Tri-Polish Challenge Week #4 - Red, Orange, and Yellow

A second challenge post in one day! Say it isn't so!

In my attempt to get caught up, I'm sharing my late challenge post entries.

This time it's my Tri-Polish Challenge for week 4! (Which should have gone up on 1/28/2014)
I'm kind of sad that this was my last Red, Orange, and Yellow post as I really love how these colors play together.  I think you can come up with such great combinations!

Golden Oldie Thursday; Week Four! - Dots

What a crazy whirlwind week it's been for this Gamer Girl, and honestly I am happy that it's almost over!

I had a big, stressful job interview first which entailed me getting prepared for it, I had a pretty dramatic hair change (I'm pretty sure it was about 8 inches that I lost!), 3 midterms and 2 quizzes for University, cleaning and redoing our storage here in the house, hosting a small Super Bowl party, and now waiting in stressed agony for the phone call back about the interview.

So anyway on to nail polish!  I've been so exhausted I haven't posted anything, I'm sorry about that.

So here is my Golden Oldies Thursday post that should have gone up on 1/30/2014!

Happy Monday Morning Gamer Girls! I have a ton of stuff to do this morning before I run off to class, I hope everyone else's Monday isn't as rushed as mine is turning out to be!

This morning I have for you swatches and a review for Essie's 2013 Spring collection, Madison Ave-Hue.
This review is coming in a little late, almost a year late, but Essies can normally be found pretty easily after a collection has been out.  And, with this Spring right around the corner maybe you can all find some inspiration for this season!

Maybelline Color Show Street Art - Swatches and Reviews

Today I have for all you Gamer Girls a new top coat collection that Maybelline has added to it's permanent line, Street Art!  I know, everyone is coming out with Splatters this year, it's like the new Crackle or the new Texture.  We get something that takes our nail polish world by force every new year, so I'm willing to take the ride.
